SupplyOn guest lecture @ HWR Berlin (Berlin School of Economics and Law)
On March 4, 2019, Professor Dr. Tsipoulanidis, HWR Berlin, invited SupplyOn to give a guest lecture at the Business School of the Berlin School of Economics and Law on the digitization of the supply chain. The more than 20 international business students came from various MBA and Master programs, some of them with a focus on management consulting.
SupplyOn’s strong analytical capabilities reinforce the ecosystem’s value-add
The presentation provided valuable insights into SupplyOn’s business model and its value creation as a leading global industry network for the manufacturing industry.
The topics covered included inventory policies, the added value of supplier portals and of close collaboration as an early warning system. Practical insights into inventory management via VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) and into SupplyOn’s analysis capabilities of its very own data lake were also part of the program.
Discussing the impact of the Brexit on the aerospace supply chain
Last but not least, there was a very open discussion about the impact of the Brexit, e.g. on the supply chain of the aerospace industry. Many important questions were asked and different approaches were discussed on how to mitigate the associated supply chain risk.
Opportunities for MBA and Master students & graduates
It was again an honor for me to give this lecture as part of the partnership between SupplyOn and the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR). And it is a great starting point to talk about the various job opportunities SupplyOn offers.
