Industry News All good things come in threes: ZF Lake Constance Mobility Summit, Automotive Procurement Forum and Automotive Logistics Forum Due to the pandemic, numerous important conferences had to be postponed over the last two years - this meant that SupplyOn was represented as an exhibitor at three important automotive conferences in the first half of May. A common theme running through all three events was the current challenges facing the industry, above all the dramatic supply bottlenecks and the question of how to make supply chains resilient, as well as the climate crisis and the issue of how to achieve sustainable and CO2-neutral production in the future. Industry News · Inside 10 years of AirSupply – the supply chain platform of the aerospace industry celebrates Exactly 10 years ago, on 22 November 2011, the SCM solution for the aerospace industry AirSupply went online. On this day, the first transaction between Airbus and the supplier of the first hour, Elektro-Metall Export GmbH from Ingolstadt, was exchanged via the jointly developed AirSupply solution. One year later, Airbus had rolled out its entire supplier base for production materials, consisting of 700 companies. As a result, the previously used individual solution could be switched off at the end of 2012. (more…)
Industry News The dawn of a new age of mobility — the rail industry met in Berlin to discuss future issues 1,400 participants and around 150 exhibitors from 60 countries followed IPM's invitation and headed to Berlin for the 7th Railway Forum at the beginning of September. In addition, around 1,000 virtual visitors came to attend the presentations on screen. For many of the participants, it was the first on-site conference since the outbreak of the pandemic more than a year and a half ago. (more…)
